At P&M Personal Injury Law, the fees that you will pay us for legal services is a percentage of the money you get as a settlement or award. It also applies to any amount you receive for costs if you win your case, or any amount specified as costs as part of a settlement. The percentage does not apply to any amount you receive specifically to help you pay for disbursements and taxes.
Our contingency fee cannot be more than the amount that you recover as an award or settlement from the other side, including costs and excluding disbursements and taxes.
What this means is that you will never have to pay us upfront or for hourly charges. This can help alleviate the burden or pressure of continual legal fees.
Our fees:
- Accident Benefits – Your contingency fee will be [33%] of your settlement or award, plus HST
- All Other Matters – Your contingency fee will be [33%] of your settlement or award, plus HST.
